But with 132x50 (quite a "standard" text mode), you might be able to recognize something ;-) If you don't sit close to your screen, the resolution is sufficient to watch tv in ascii (aatv sure is a nice thing). If you're looking for something like a console window manager in ASCII, then have a look at twin.
