It's Netscape's new "my favourite colours" feature (IE4 has it too, and
it's here to stay!). It is very nice to have sometimes since it can turn
some unreadable pages into useful pages (this can be especially
important to colour-blind people). And why is it rude to *you*? It's
*my* eyes that see it that way, not yours... You don't see any colours
in Lynx... or do you?

If you are going to colour your pictures with <font color=...> then it
might also be a good idea to put them in tables with <td bgcolor=...> or
the image may not come through at all... You won't see any difference in
Netscape3 or IE3, or Lynx, but it will make a difference to some newer
browsers.
