Thanks :-) They did not tell me that they were going to make that
article. I was reading at page 15 when I received a support request mail
with the referrence to the magazine (page 60). I was very very surprised
:-)

And I have to admit that for months I have had the dream of a one column
article in that computer magazine. Now it finally became true :-) I will
have to look for a new dream regarding JavE now.

What browser/system did you use? It all worked fine with the browsers on
Windows, Solaris and Linux I have tested it with.

That's the problem with JRE1.4: The keyboard shortcuts are broken there.
It must be the fault of the JRE. This is why I still recommend 1.3. I
hope they will fix it all when releasing the final version (1.4 is only
a "release candidate" - means somewhat like "it still is beta, but we
would like to release it").

I will add that to my list (I know: "it must be very long by now". But
in fact it is shorter than the list of implemented features :)

My very first Figlet program had that option - but I removed it, for it
was of little or no use. Just some more checkboxes and buttons to make
people weird...

I have filled in the missing places:
  (1) Only when you use the FIGlet dialog
  (2) Only when you know how to use FIGML
      The FIGML is the figlet markup language. I have never really
worked it out but in the FIGlet dialog you can use it. It should support
control files (because I once have written support for it), but I am not
sure about how to use it now and there seems to be a problem for the
program to find the files.. :o) Anyway, there are only a handful of
flc-files. They do not perform much more than rot13, uppercase and
lowercase.
  (3) If you manage to make keyboard input with such character codes it
should work
  (4) Hey, that's one of the most important options. Of course it is in
:)

The first version had that option, too. It did not make much sense. The
only font it works well with is standard.flf - and that one is available
as seperate font mirror.flf.

This feature does not work on all systems. There is no platform
independent way of starting a browser :-(
