Sure... but I guess my point was that Netscape was big... it was truly
huge... it was _the_ way to browse the Net... now Microsoft occupies that
position...

Netscape the company is gone, swallowed up by Sun (was it?)... and maybe
they still sell web servers, but they are no longer leaders in anything...
Apache is the lead web server with over 60% of the market...

It would make me feel like an idiot that I didn't take Microsoft's money
when it was on the table, because the end result is the same - Netscape is
no longer the browser with over 80% market share...

well IE3 certainly was playing catchup to Netscape still... back in 1996...

let's face it, HTML, was going through a major evolution to cope with the
demands suddenly being placed on it by ecommerce... and things were out of
synch...

Netscape got behind because they lost the browser war... it's kind of sad...
