.. better use the <pre> </pre> directives which simply mean that the 
text in between is a preformatted text like listings, ascii art and such
things. By definition of HTML successing blanks will be reduced to only
one blank which is why ascii art looks rather odd. I'd suggest not to use
the <tt> </tt> directives because they like e.g. the bold-style (<b> </b>)
and italic-style (<i> </i>) directives refer to text-styles whereas the
<pre> </pre> directive is a layout thing. And the text-styles will appear
differently on other browsers while the layout will most likely be the 
same. This is why you should use the preformatted-directive. There is 
also a text about dos-and-don'ts somewhere which deals with this sort of
thing. I'll post its address if i find it again.
