     When you want to take control of your spaces in a text document you need
to use a MONOSPACED FONT like COURIER NEW, or TERMINAL or TOPAZ NEW. A
monospaced font will allow you to control spacing between words instead of
adjusting the spaces automatically the way most other TrueType fonts are
manipulated. A monospaced font works exactly like a typewriter, one letter and
character per space. This is why monospaced fonts are used with ASCII, we can
control the position of the characters.
     When you are creating a new document, switch to a mono font immediately
before typing anything. If you import the document to another application that
uses another font on you, highlight all of the text and then select one of the
mono fonts.
     If it is impossible to change fonts, you'll have to do it manually and
have several copies of the same document in different fonts. 
     Removing WORD WRAP would help, this means you would have to use a ENTER at
the end of each line instead of letting the text go to the next line by itself
would help (word wrapping).
