I thought you had done that before. Must have "stolen" the idea from
someone else, then. =)

Yes. It's rather nifty. The by-product is better than the platform
detecter itself.

How did you do that? I once altered all Win95-settings I could find,
but the only thing that wouldn't change was the Arial font in those
textarea's. Can't remember the browser's version.

In your search for Javascript docs, did you ever stumble upon
a list of navigator.userAgent data, I mean the strings the
browsers return?
