Allo;w me to try to clarify this (without intended criticism towards you or
anyone else).

If i told you that i was gonna show you Van Gogh's sunflowers, would you assume
it to be the original or a xerox of it?
I bet you would be a lot happier to see the original than just a xerox.

To most people it's not considered to be art if you just convert a bitmap to
ASCII (i.e. make a xerox of it), it should could you some effort to make
something that's worth looking at.

For a picture to be real art, it should be hand-made. A converted pic is nothing
more than that, it's a picture and that's it. It's still ASCII, but it's not
art.

I hope that clarifies things a bit.
