Well, unfortunately I can't touch the software, it's a big commercial
package similar to SAP, but cheaper.  It's being deployed group wide, and we
have no choice in the matter.  Also unfortunately the down arrow is required
to explode a Bill of Materials while entering a production order.  If I
can't represent the down arrow with a barcode the users are going to have to
hit it manually.  It's been my experience that when users start touching the
keyboard they start introducing bad data.  I can hardly wait.
