Hmm, that doesn't sound like any of the extended characters and I'm looking at a list now, but can you put carrage returns in a volume label to create a small ASCII pic? If so, it sounds like it's _ " and alt plus 3 stacked over each other. But then that could be wrong; is the volume label more than one line tall? Could the binary information have been changed for one ASCII character on that machine? I know I could do that with my old Commodore, then again, the Commodore didn't have a hard drive. Just a thought. (I have no idea how to do it on a PC though, just giving you ideas). -- .-~~-.
