If my memory of 8th grade social studies serves me, THIS is how it
goes:

-The "Indians" come from Asia over the land bridge and settle across
Canada(As for calling them "Indians" instead of Native Americans, it's
a matter of habit and the fact that one of them has about half as many
syllables as the other.)

-The vikings came and left.

-Columbus sailed to the tropics or something

-Amerigo Vespucci(I kept having trouble with not accidentally calling
him Amerigo Bonasera(Which doesn't mean anything to somebody who
hasn't read the Godfather)), a mapmaker if I remember correctly, named
America after either himself or some slang that was popular in the
area and the time or something.

-Man walks on moon

-Pepsi releases "Pepsi Clear"
