Mhmmm... and if I'm aware of that you quote text like that my mind says
"balloo wrote this", and then I get the wrong idea of what your opinion
about something is... I _know_ that you _quoted_ the text, but it's
still confusing. I've often had to re-read posts because of this!!!

So, you have discovered why the ascii art FAQ recommends a very strict
format for anything to qualify as "ascii art":

By this definition Martin's quote marks are ascii art, and so is the
"standard" use of  >  for quote marks, but not your  �  characters...

Of course you care about this! You don't want to send out ugly-looking
posts! I do it too! (and I suspect most people in alt.ascii-art have the
same attitude on this point...)

I use the news reader in Netscape 3 (unix) and it doesn't wrap text that
I quote. Of course, if somebody else has already damaged the look I'll
still end up either doing a major snip or "repairing" things, one line
at a time....  :-/
