I have one! It squeeks, thus making it sound as if there's something wrong with
it so almost no-one wanted to keep the drive if they bought one.
Pity, i had high hope for it.

Again: yes, but i'm a bit exceptional to this stuff. I always bet on the wrong
horse :-))
I had an ED-drive in an FD4000 3.5" floppy drive for the C=64, that drive (with
some custom hard/software) could store up to 3.2 Mb on a floppy, provided it was
formatted the Commodore way (GCR for the insiders, PC uses MFM)

This is what an ED-floppy looks like:

Not much different uh? Only the hole on the top-left is positioned just a bit
lower than on HD-floppies.

Anyway, there is still one medium which i think can be the future of portable
storage, and that's a simple CD-RW rather than a ZIP-drive (be it the 100Mb
version or the 250Mb version) but that's a medium i still don't have :-))
