Runs with KDE BUT: in 0.8.1B3 (latest release) it generates invalid
MSIDs (at least in certain configurations, it crashes sometimes, and
doesn't save the scorefile between sessions - for the moment I would
rather suggest KNode as a 'standin'. Although I personally am looking
forward to a _really_ usable version of pan - shows lots of promise
IMHO. - Oh Yeah! Did I mention that it seems to randomly generate memory
floods on my machine? :-/

Another possibility would be gnus. Newer Versions seem quite powerful,
but the configuration is somewhat intimidating to an EMACS-Novice (like
myself :-))...

Not to mention that hilarious impossibility of generating correct
.sig-delimiters - or is that fixed by now? And the half-minute or so
startup time - and the frequent crashes - and... Well: Communicator is
_definetly_ not for mail/news. I think a great many people will agree on
that.
