We still have a C64 as well - I got my parents to buy me the C64
programmer's reference book so that I could do some real sound and
graphics programming, but it died at about the same time. 
 
My first computer, though, was a ZX81 (which sadly passed away about the
time my brother accidentally kicked it... )

I have an Amstrad 286 that I wouldn't mind putting Linux on - it's such
a shame it was developed on 386's, but I guess it had to start
somewhere...

(It really does look like kind of a weird space ship, but not quite like
this :)

I really like the Psion Palmtop computers now, though. I can still
remember being amazed that my first Psion (Model II, LZ64) had the same
amount of RAM as my Commodore 64 and yet was soooo small.
