Let's do some basic math. The new Pope is 78. In May of 1945, when the war ended, he was thus 18 or less. Thus, I don't think he was ever a member of the Nazi party (not being major while the party existed). Now, he did belong to the hitlerian youth, as many of the east German kids belonged to the communist youth when East Germany was a communist dictatorship. That does not make him (resp. them) a Nazi (resp. communists). Thus, while your proposal might make some sense, I don't see how it is relevant to any recent events, *ahem*. Of course, your clear eye episode is a huge flame bait, so that it is imperative that I take the time to add an ObAscii to my reply, lest we start a huge and silly flame war. On the other hand I am mostly a lurker in a.a-a and I really hold no skills in ascii art, so that it will be hard to comply.
