Does size make a difference?

Ok, most of us have been told most of our lives that size does not make a
difference. Then when we aged, we learned that we have been lied to our
whole lives. The fact is, size makes a huge difference. Now, relating my
little rant here to the topic of ascii art, I was just wondering how
everyone seems to like to see stuff.
Personally, before I started making my own, I copied some other
peoples, and if it did not take up a fairly sizable amount, I felt there
was just no reason to bother copy it. Then again, if I saw anything that
took up too much room, I would not bother copy it either. Stuff like Row's
seemed to be consistantly in the right range. Basically, little left to
the imagination, and never more than a 80X20 screen in size. So that is
how I started doing mine, and so far, I like it.
Someone mentioned here earilier, shakara or however you correctly spell
the name, that they liked smaller stuff, but personally, it took me almost
two weeks to figure out what llizard's sig was! (and I still don't get any
of the one-line lizards I saw last week) There is some really great small
stuff, like joan's, but most of it seems almost indistinguishable from the
rest to me. Not that I'm saying llizard does bad work, because he has
some very nice art as well, I am just saying that alot of small stuff leaves
me blank, which is hard to do.
And like I said, I agree that anything more than an 80X20 screen I don't
even bother look at anymore. 99% of it is just made from scanning something
into a computer and I don't consider that art. The rare original stuff of
that size is still just too big to look at.
Anyway, just wondering what other's opinions are? (obviously, the perfect
way would be to be good at both, as joan has many small things, and does
large things on occasion, such as her cock-a-too on her index web page) Just
wondering what people seem to prefer.
