I was going to drop out of this discussion with my FAQ suggestion, but I
have to disagree with the above. Yes, this is Usenet, not the Web. That
doesn't mean this _discussion_ would have to be about Usenet. In fact the
subject should pretty much tell you it isn't about Usenet.

Although looking at the subject I just realized that this is the one
thread that was indeed off-topic, but it has drifted a lot since then.
Anyway, what people put on their websites is indeed their business. But
if what they put there is ascii art, it also touches this group.

I do agree that we don't need these extensive HTML discussions here, it
should be enough to tell people to slap <PRE></PRE> on it and go to ciwah
for further advice. That's exactly why I suggested the new FAQ entries.
