TECHNICAL: Problems with linewrap

TECHNICAL: Problems with linewrap

Felix Lee has pointed out that my recent reposts ( particularly
Chevalier material ) are causing problems with line wrapping -
suggesting that the line lengths are excessive.

I have checked a faulty section of "The Lion and the Mosquito" and
discovered that the linewrap in the message I uploaded was at column
79. I would not have expected this to give linewrap problems in the
posted message :-(

As a test I have reduced the linewrap to column 77. If this still
causes trouble I will be puzzled !

In my own postings I use a Right Margin setting of 68 to allow for
quote marks etc. Actually 68 RM is the Wordstar default setting for
Wordstar document files.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This section line wraps at column 79 ( my original posting which
gave trouble ):

@|\@@ "Why should I? demanded the mosquito. "You're king of
the
       - @@@@ jungle, not of the air! I'll fly wherever I want and
land
/7 @@@@ wherever I please." And so saying, he tickled the
lion's
/ @@@@@@ ear. In the hope of crushing the insect,
the
\-' @@@@@@@@`-______________ lion boxed his own ears, but the
mosquito
-@@@@@@@@@ / \ slipped away from the now dazed
lion.
        @/@@@@ / \

In this section I have reduced linewrap to 77:

@|\@@ "Why should I? demanded the mosquito. "You're king of the
       - @@@@ jungle, not of the air! I'll fly wherever I want and land
/7 @@@@ wherever I please." And so saying, he tickled the lion's
/ @@@@@@ ear. In the hope of crushing the insect, the
\-' @@@@@@@@`-______________ lion boxed his own ears, but the mosquito
-@@@@@@@@@ / \ slipped away from the now dazed lion.
        @/@@@@ / \
 _______/ /_ _____| |__________-
/,__________/ `-.___/,_____________----------_)

If anyone has the technical knowledge and advice on how to avoid
these linewrap problems on Internet - please speak up !

Bye,
