|I knew him as a flyer of Indian fighter kites, but his interests were many and
|varied. On the 'net of course no-one knows your age, but Colin was no chicken
|and he'd had heart problems for a long time, including a very severe heart
|attack last year.

|I'd like to think that he's in the sun somewhere, in his little woollen beanie
|hat, an impish grin on his face as he flys a genuine Nagasaki hata, cutting
|everyone else out of the sky!

That is very sad to hear. Condolences to all family and friends.

I (and I'm sure all of the newsgroup regulars) will always remember Colin
for his good humour and big part in the newsgroup ... and everyone else in
all of the other newsgroups he posted in, and anyone else who ever met Colin
whether online or offline. Most of all in this newsgroup, Colin will be long
remembered for his excellent, unique ASCII Art and his huge collection which
he maintained expertly.
