CSS | is a good try but not all browser can use it - especially netscape 4.X | has huge problems when it comes to stylesheets. Don't forget to escape | the following special characters between these tags: | | & -- & | < -- < | > -- > | | The rest should be fine and has no special meaning within HTML. If you | use search and replace be sure that you substitute & first with & | before you substitute < and > for you might end up with crap if you do | it the other way round ;) | | Btw., what has this to do with ascii-art? Some webcoding related | newsgroup would have been better. Just because ascii-art is about | monospaced it doesn't mean everything about monospaced things is ontopic | in here. At least you lacked an obASCII. | | obASCII: | | ,i. | ,-' | `. | .< ,-' `. `. | | `. `. `. Someone got any mail for me? | `. `. `.| | `. `. ,-' | `.|,-' | ' | | So long! | Alfie Cheers mate, twas a great help! :) It's just that I may be putting some of my own ascii, on my site. Sorry if it seems a little off topic, but the people at alt.html weren't helping my plight [yet again]. So I thought I'd cut ot the chase and ask the good people here, who evidently have the know how to solve the mystery of applying fixed width in HTML - seeing as many people have ascii in their sites. what's obASCII?? Never heard of that before now. Thanks ..B..
