Re: I'm back
>Date: Fri, Mar 20, 1998 01:11 EST >Message-id: <6et1lh$nf9$1...@usenet48.supernews.com> Sigh... why don't we end this bickering and post some ASCII pics? If it has a signature on it- leave it on and post it... if it doesn't have a signature on it-- post it anyways (of course indicate that you didn't make it) and leave it as that. We all ought to know that there are people who strip sigs off of the ASCII art. People think it looks tacky. I'll even admit that I did that a few times before I really got interested. However, it is only right that you give credit where credit is due. Once you start making the ASCII pics, you'll definitely know what I mean. Besides, what's the big deal about that? A couple of letters is not that much. Sure beats paying $... Where else can you use someone else's talent for free? <As an aside, the pics that get scrolled on AOL not only have initials, but sometimes full names, include .wav file description, year, and macro club standings... What we do here on the real internet is so small...> So can we go on? If something is posted that does not have proper credits, we can work together to correct it. We can add the initials and continue to post... If we can't find the artist... oh well... just state the fact and post it anyways.. There's a lot of great, old, uncredited pics... It would be a shame not to post them.
