I think WW2 will remain fresh in peoples mind for a long time still .. especially in the minds of Europeans. We still remember how it took just one charismatic politician could turn a country comprised mostly of good people into one of the most evil war machines in history. Hitler and the nazi party did this, by controlling the media , by slowly taking away peoples rights , by covertly removing "enemies of the state" without trial, by focusing people on internal and external "threats", and by spurring people to join the army and national guard, preparing the nation for war. The American people would do well to remember this. > I've heard there is a Scandinavian country, I don't remember which > one but I believe it may be Sweden, where it's law that every household > must have at least one gun. I think that's a good policy. If someone tries > to invade Sweden they're gonna have one hell of a fight on their hands. You either heard wrong or someone told you a tall tale. All Scandinavian countries require permits to own a gun.
