Don't you realize how hard it is for folks to scroll down to a section that they want to read? That is the point of having it fully linked. Posting to a newsgroup should be straight text, but the mirror sites should be much easier to use. 40 pages of Kool-Aid FAQ's and all you want to know is how to use Kool-Aid to get rid of rust stains in the bath tub. Without linking it, it would take that poor sole too much time to care. And it is difficult to just look for a certain heading without taking all day. Especially if you are new!
