Re: HTML and Browser Support

Re: HTML and Browser Support

Not meaning to drag this on and on...

But I missed some posts and I would like to know what the consensus
was as to which html worked best and was simplest to use for ascii
art? I have started a page about ascii art as signatures for a writers
newsletter. Anyway, I have posted a few sigs from the regulars of this
newsgroup as examples. One or more of my own will go up as well. I
have used the <pre> and </pre> codes and they seem to work.

One problem I have found is that my browser will not let me change to
the fixedsys font. It sticks with courier new no matter what ways I
have tried to trick it. *sigh* I use Netscape and IExplorer anyone
know a better way?

Btw, for those wanting to look the page is not officially done yet
(its for an issue coming out in about 2 weeks) but you can peek at it
at: http://members.xoom.com/ldb/ascii.htm Anyone whose sig I have
used who objects please let me know and I have no problem to remove
them/ replace them. Not that I expect anyone will have a problem with
the extra bit of promotion for their websites.

Take care,

Laura
