I didn't know the difference between REC.* and non-REC NG's until now, sorry. Well, that's a completely different form of moderating than I have been talking about. When I say moderate, I mean still allowing everybody to post everything, just like we always have. I simply mean cancelling obvious spam as we see it, not having a person sitting around having to approve each and every post before anyone else can see them. The kind of moderation/spam-killing I am talking about is actually already being carried out here! A lot of spam is being killed every day - only obvious spam - and the result is clear. How many 'Free Sex Sites' and '$$$ make money' posts have you seen lately? Well, maybe a few, but.... Note that the spam is not only being cancelled by me, a (very) small selection of regular Alt.ascii-art people are helping me. Thanks guys. Now let me hear: Is anyone annoyed by this spam-cancelling? Anyone in favor for having all the spam back? Lars.
