Relation to apes, monkeys and humans, (of which I, begrudingly, am a member) they are often mistaken as monkeys, due to their similar activities. (they climb in trees, jump around like monkeys, etc) They are actually beautiful creatures, with big ol' eyes, and usually long bushy tails, commonly with stripes on the tails. Bright, as are all primates, and pretty, unlike most primates. (unless you call an ape pretty.
