My 2 cents worth is this, if its strictly a conversion it may be ASCII
by default, but isnt art in the sense that it was created from the 
imagination. To me the Art comes from the creative effort of rendering 
an image from text characters, that is the "medium" of our art. It is
the imagination and talent required to create an image or concept in 
text, not the text or image alone that is the art.

That being said I do not object to the converted pictures being posted
here, and TAL doesn't claim authorship of the converted pictures, so I
don't see this being a real issue.
