There isn't a lot of skill in that. disagree: a painter does very much the same.. he looks where what brush or tool makes the lines that fit better in a certain color and technique.. many ascii artists have developed their own style like joris (the man at the bar with the cat) or VeeJay ... wich gives their images kind of an identity so i think the art can be considered the looking for pieces wich look better instead of others with ones own style... i hope you get my cunfusing/confused english :)
