Is there a way to stop getting out of memory
messages with this DOS program

Here is what i am doing, to get a TIF to ASCII text
I know it is a long way about,
but i am new to this and it is mostly working.

  Scanning a picture in TIF
  convert to PCX
  convert to I
  convert to GIF
  convert to GIF to ASCII text
  Anyway it works, mostly.


if the TIF or PCX is about  015K
then the x.I  file is over 600K
and the DOSGifscii21.exe
is out of memory


I have 12,000kb of RAM
  can i tell this converter to use it ?
  is there a better GIF to ASCII converter ?
