  XMosaic and some others will default to a proportional font.  To get
arround this you can use the <pre> </pre> html codes in any pages you
want to create with ascii-art in them.  <pre> will take text including spaces
and newlines and display them directly on the screen, instead of running
them through a paragraph parser to create the "adjustable paragraphs"
that must be one of the nicest features of mosaic.

  Hope this helps to anyone designing ascii-art pages.

Only if it's an html rich-text document.  Plain ascii text gets
displayed with plain monospaced fonts.
