Hi,
Could someone please post something about how to view these files that
are being posted. Before, I used to just take the .vt files down by
:decode, and then after changing the permissions I could run them. Now
I am struggling to get the .vt.z files working! What type of compression
format is used? I am in a Unix type account, and when I try and do an
Uncompress on the file it says it is not in that format. Is there any
chance that any of the .vts could be posted uncompressed?
I'll be thankful of any response..!
	yours

Reposting of all the articles would take someone a lot of time and waste
a lot of bandwidth. However most of the recently posted animations can
also be downloaded in uncompress form at this site:

http://www.cs.ualberta.ca/~paulf/html/asciiart/ascii.html

There are some still ascii pictures here too.

Cheers :)
Paul.

P.S. The original posts were compressed using gzip which is from those
wonderful gnu people, you should be able to download that from somewhere
too, but I don't know where.

The 'official' GNU site is prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu (I think that that's the
official site. Not 100% sure tho.)
