Converting pictures to color ASCII

Converting pictures to color ASCII

alt.ascii-art · 6 messages · 27 Jun 2001 - 30 Jun 2001
Is there any program that can use an RGB image for input,
to create ASCII art using colors that somewhat match the original ones?

So far, I've only seen pictures being converted to black & white text.
Color output (like to HTML or so) would be possible too?

"Colour output" is definitely possible:

For example, you can use an HTML editor to create it.

Well, I can in deed use a HTML editor, but I want to do hi-res ASCII
pictures. That would take me days to color in HTML:p
Thanks for the tip anyway.

Thanks a for that tip! MosASCII really works nicely.
The output is even better than I hoped.
