hi markus and the rest
i don't know if this is a known problem, but i installed the fixedsys
ttf from the jave website and selected it in the program. instead of
using fixedsys it displayed it in some variable pitch font (looked
really interesting tho, hehe) also courier new and monospaced look
exactly the same. is that supposed to be?

On my machine it had a different problem, but also with the Fixedsys TTF. The space character in fixedsys.ttf is a bit too short, while JavE displays non-filled areas in the drawing screen with spaces there are nice results (eg. drawing in the middle of the screen and the characters showing up far left from that. But Courier New and the other fonts worked for me. Joey -- (\_ | news:de.alt.rec.ascii-art _/) _." '; __| __, ,_ __, __, .'
