This is in part inspired by the TV show Alias, where both the
CIA and their enemies use hypnosis extensively. An agent was
kidnapped and has seemingly been reprogrammed using hypnosis
since she can't remember 2 years of her life. (Don't spoil the
third season for me, anyone; I'm only at episode 3, and ABC
just aired episode 13.)
  Also, I'm reading a book on hypnosis. It's a very factual
book, but it's weird in places, which makes it kind of fun.

I just *love* Fan Boy's manner of speech, it captures the idea of trance
very well, I think.  I somehow feel Nerd Boy's 'Hey man' is somewhat out
of character, though.
