Anyone out there know what kind of quality I should be going for in my
storyboards?
I have some rough ink sketches, 4X3, with some cut and paste elements.
Should I be worried about some of the details getting lost in the
translation from rough boards to photocopied image?
Any assistance would be nifty.

I've never heard of problems with photocopying ascii art. Are you sure
you're in the right group? This is what we do here:

I didn't _make_ that. It's just an old one I found somewhere and wrapped
up in some javascript...

The same ascii animation is on the index page of 'ASCIIWorld' implemented in
a JAVA applet. There are not many solid art animations ... very nice one.

BTW:
Hi mic, (mik, micB...?)
your Javascript are great ! You should make a homepage with them.

Yep, you're right. I have seen this site before. Lost the url so i had to hop
over your links page to visit & have a second glance. fyi: they seem to be
renovating the on-line gifscii generator and the 'transformations'-page
(can't remember what that was).
btw Who are "they"? Do "we" know "them"?

miK?! =) A rather dull nick for someone known as Mic irl... But
that's all I came up with back when...

Working on it. =)

Aye! But those "dilettantistische" Javascripts of mine are nil compared
to your -=*AscEditor*=-. Man, what a great prog!! Every ASCII-prog,
-tool, -util on my hd rendered useless in 1 sweep!

I especially like the 'Set 1245Key to /\_|'-mode and the 'flips' (1st
tackled by Ilmari Karonen and Colin Randall tmk). Haven't had
time to investigate the menu bar in detail, yet.

1 point of consideration tho'. Usually I -- and probably the lot of
us Windoze (l)uzers ;) -- still make ASCII pics in Notepad, which
displays the chars in mammuth mode. Real big! That's why we make small,
precise ASCII-art, probably...
In AscEdit the chars are tiny -- customized for your larger style? --
& at 1st glance i couldn't find a simple way to display 'm bigger.

But AscEditor without doubt is a great effort, Marc... Not sure
-- been reading a.a-a off&on for a lil over 1,5 yrs. now, mostly
in a rush -- but i've tried a couple ASCII/ANSI progs (announced in
this nwsgrp or found on the Web), and 2me your AscEditor really sticks
out!

Thanks!

'transformation' was a kind of on-line FigLet, nice idea.

>btw Who are "they"? Do "we" know "them"?

I don't think that 'we know them'. The ASCII art area is only a small piece
of the 'io' domain. There are a lot of very interesting other areas with
JAVA, Plugins, ... Seems to be a 'designer' page.

Ok., hello miK.

Please let me if you have a URL.

They are really innovative. You and cjr have shown me the possibilities of
JAVAScripts! I only learned a bit JAVAScript because of your files.

(For me, the comments in Netherlands language are sometimes more easy to
understand than English ones...)

Thanks a lot.
That is the way I have programmed it: Putting all my little programs
together :-).

Colin sent me his 'webflip' and I will implement it in the
next version.

At the beginning ASCIIEditor (V1&2) wasn't a public program. I have
written it for private use and therefore it is orientated on my style.
The next version is writing the font settings to the 'ini' and every-
one can use his preferred.
