Hi,

I'm new to this group. I was wondering if there were any freeware
or shareware programmes available to do the following two things:
1. To convert detailed images (eg: scanned photographs) to 
   line drawings.
2. To convert line drawings to ascii images.

I have done large letters for words in ASCII for a while now, but
I find it difficult when it comes to drawings. Currently, I am
having problems attempting to create ASCII versions of: a
satellite dish (like a BT Earth Station, for example) and a 
side-profile of the leaping Jaguar bonnet mascot. 

If anyone has anything - either software or ASCII drawings that I
could use - please e-mail in uuencoded format, or post on this
thread. Thank you very much.
