Beat you to it... I have ascii fish blowing animated gif bubbles on my
homepage.
They've been there over a week! The animated gif was made by Shanaka
Dias, fellow ASCIIist and otherwise talented individual!
I also have a couple of other surprises on my next update... scheduled
probably next weekend! :)

I am currently experimenting with mixing ascii and non-ascii art elements
for future creations. An example is a non-ascii (graphics) dog holding in
his mouth a newspaper with ascii art on it.

The idea is to have ascii and non-ascii art elements complement each
other, rather than competing with each other. I have done this kind of mix
on some of my webpages. Comments welcome!

Well, not quite. I looked at your home page just a minute ago, and the
fish with the bubbles is not there.

Whereas I have already (on my home page and other pages):

a non-ascii (graphics) wizard as the master of ceremony for an ascii movie
(on my home page)
a non-ascii (graphics) dog holding a newspaper with ascii art (it is on
one of the other pages, not the home page)
a non-ascii (graphics) witch on a flying broom trying to keep up with a
jumping (ascii) Frogstein (again, on one of the other pages)

... and a few others, but the above are the main items.

What I did find on your home page is a link to one of my webpages that I
asked you to remove! This is the same like you still referring to my name,
although I have asked you to refrain from doing so.

Background info for the rest of this newsgroup: Joan and I had a
disagreement.

Well, Pete, which web browser are you using? I looked at Spunk's page
 http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/7373/aquatic.htm

yesterday (Sunday 23) and the bubbles (moving) were there. And they look
great! You should look again.

PC- it is located on the Aquatic Creatures page... I have more than
one subpage... but if you want the credit for being first, it's all
yours... it's not important to me.

granted you are the animated ascii guru. I've already told you that
I like your animation work. I think it's clever and innovative.

PC- I have not had a chance to update. Please give me some time. The
update will occur probably over the weekend or next Monday. I assure
you that it is already off on the disk awaiting uploading...

>Background info for the rest of this newsgroup: Joan and I had a
>disagreement.

Why tell the newsgroup? Unlike you, I keep my personal email just
that: PERSONAL. But since you brought it up and into the public...
I simply told you that I'd like to link to your
movie clip page. I like your movies. We have a difference in our
senses of humor. I've only laughed at *one* of your comics. That's
why I preferred the link to the movie page. I didn't really think it
was much of a disagreement. Sheesh, I even offered you some of my
ASCII work to animate with Frogstein and Birdstein. You come back
with comments of not liking my name.. and requesting that things be
your own terms. And to be honest, I don't care for your "artist
name"- as I told you personally, and now telling everyone publicly:
(since *you* brought this 'disagreement' thing into the open).
it's a poor ripoff of the great artist, Picasso.

You have wonderful comments from other people and I don't discount
that... everyone has different tastes... In addition, I respect your
work. It's unfortunate that the world had to be dragged into our
trivial disagreement.

I just want to point out Joan's incohesive mix of praise and insults,
well, at least the offers to work together (I call it harrassment) are now
over :-)

There was never any harassment- there was one offer from me to work
together-
There shall be no more.

I praised your work- but didn't insult you. I am an honest person,
perhaps to a
fault. Hopefully you can respect that honesty.

Now may this return this to a personal issue- and not "global""?

This shouldn't be an issue at all. I just can't see how anyone might
be pissed at you. (just not possible)

Aaaaaaargh!!, My server hasn't been allowing me to
post recently, so I missed all the fun of the
Mixing ascii and non-ascii art argument. Well hopefully
that's all dead and buried now!

I think being turned into a frog is too

Huh? Why is this posted again? Hasn't this petty argument you seem to
want to string out even tho Joan has quite decently brought an end to
it, finished? Why drag it out, is there anything half-decent to gain?
