But it depends on what you mean by ansi :) Most vt-xxxx terminals have very similar escape sequences for doing screen things, like moving the cursor about and setting attributes like colours, bold, blink and so on. Check out the ascii animations at the Scarecrow's ftp site: ftp.wwa.com :: /pub/Scarecrow/Animations/ and ../Color/ There's also some to be found at the pc demos ftp sites: ftp.uwp.edu :: /pub/msdos/demos/ansi/ (not so many there now), and ftp.cdrom.com :: /pub/demos/incoming/ansi/ However, the "ice" files that used to be there are GONE!!! :-( I have one of the ice files here (ice-9406.zip, 1161794bytes) and I have had some of the earlier ones in the past too. I'm sure that there were other ones about too, but have now gone (probably after the demos site moved from hornet.eng.ufl.edu to ftp.cdrom.com). Surely they haven't been dumped! They are nothing like the spectacular demos put out by Future Crew and the rest of those graphics wizards, but they were *definitely* good art! :) Can someone *please* tell me where they have gone to? They were *great* examples of ansi art, and they contained some good ansi-art viewing programs too. (comp.sys.ibm.pc.demos added to the newsgroups, with follow-ups redirected back into rec.arts.ascii). No. Go and get them from: freedom.wit.com :: /misc4/ice/ There's also a www link, but if you log in there the .message that comes up will give you the URL. They are *good*!
