Assuming you're using windows, create your drawings in some fixed-witdh
editor (even notepad can do). Then you copy and paste it into outlook
express/netscape messenger/whatever-your-news-reader-is.

Have you considered an enhanced notepad ?  Courier new font

Well, i can see you're using FA 1.7, then simply go to "Options => Menus and
Toolbars" and add a button for "Message fixed pitch font", do so again when
you're composing a message and you an switch fonts whenever you want.
