Hello All! I'm looking for a convenient program for viewing and browsing ASCII Art Images. Messing-up-and-going-crazy with Notepad is no good idea! Can someone help me out? But I have seen an ascii viewer on de.alt.rec.ascii-art a few days ago: http://www.daniel-albert.de/ascview It is neat, but still I'm missing something like thumbnail preview for a whole directory (like most graphics programs have). Markus PS: Maybe I should add this functionality to Jave ;-)

BTW .. I'm testing it right now .. it seems very capable - acutally the best I have tried yet. Ofcourse no program is perfect - I still have lots of suggestions. Expect a mail one of theese days with them.

That depends on the sourse of the ascii art. If you mena in newsgroups (like right here) thenI recommend the AGENT e-mail and news appplication. If you have downloaded txt files and want to look at them offline then any text editor that gives you a choice of fonts will do. I've used one called UltraEdit for years and recommend it. Best,
