    Anyway, I am announcing the first ever Askee Car Show. Everybody
make ascii cars, preferably ones based on REAL cars, please. No old
pichers, either. NEW ones, although they may be old cars. Please
state what the car is, and a list of options would be nice. You may
include asking price, if your intention is to sell, but sale of
vehicle is not requirement.

    Please repost to thread, and (if you wouldn't mind) email me
your pichers, so I will be sure to see them (otherwise I may well
not, as I am still living on the Information Dirt Road). Winners
will be picked, as soon as it looks like everyone has finished
submitting their wheels.

    So get out your text editor, fill up the tank with high
octane, and let's find out who can turn a dime on a red line.

Nice idea Johnny

Here's the 1973 GT Beetle that I owned for 4 years.
The GT was a limited edition VW launched to try to boost falling sales.
It was a 1300 body shell with flat windsheild and [ shaped bumpers
(fenders). The gearbox (transmission) was the 1300 close ratio
manual box bolted to a 1584cc flat four air-cooled engine.
Other GT extras were the half padded dashboard and the special
wheels which I think were also on the 1974 Jeans Beetle which
featured the blue demin interior.

I have worked out that when I type \\: IE5 tries to make it into a hyperlink
so I have to use \\; instead.

Late but welcome, Emiliano. It looks like an excellent job, but although I've
heard the name, I don't know what a Twingo is.

About time someone caught me lacking.

Anyway, I posted it with the other "Winners" of the Askee Car Show, on the
Ascii Art Webring homepage. Check somebody else's post for the address...
