I don't know how many of you still remember me, but I bet at least someone does. I've been posting here every few eons since 1997
and I once frequented Veronica's chat, too. I haven't really drawn ASCII for 1.5 years, but now I got Java VM when installing
Opera and thought that I might finally try out Jave (I had once briefly tested it, but only the online version and many versions
ago). I fell in love instantly and drew eg. this fairy, which is copied (except for the wings) from the fairy picture on my
homepage (http://www.angelfire.com/mn/Maija/).

Also, for over a year, I'd had this totally crazy idea about asciifying all the 150 Pokemons (well, there are 250 or 251 of them,
but the first Pokemon series had only 150) but had been too lazy to actually carry it out. Now I started that huge project and
have mostly finished the first three ones - Bulbasaur, Venusaur and Ivysaur - and I'm drawing Charmander at the moment. As I don't
study and work as a freelancer, I have a lot of freetime so I think I might even be able to finish this some time if I don't get
bored first. <g> Here you can see Mr. Bulbasaur. The toes were really hard and still aren't very good, but Ivysaur and Venusaur
have leaves on their back, which are much worse.

Oh, and if you want to see more of my art, go to http://www.angelfire.com/mn/Maija/asciiart.html . Sadly I have much less to offer
than most of you.

P.S. Bug, you really rock.

of course I remember you! It hasn't been _that_ long. :)

Welcome back! You are coming back at a bad time since a.a-a is extremely
busy with off-topic posts (to say the least). But then maybe it is exactly
the right time for coming back, since every new ASCII picture helps to
improve the situation.

Neither of those pictures was over 80 characters, what is it that you are refering to?

Maija's body text -- that is, the actual text she wrote ("I don't know
how many of you still remember me..." and "Also, for over a year...").

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Just the think that he wrote -- the body *text*. Just like in your
message, your text-line was 86 chars wide. Due to the fact that people
have it easiest to read if the text is not wider than 72 characters so
they can easily wrap to the next line and that usual text terminals are
limited to 80 chars because of this (there was never a need for more and
still isn't) it would be nice if you keep up with that rule so the
readers won't have to wrap it themself (and make OE quote like hell :/
).
