I like ASCII art very much. I always visit ASCII art sites. I am a programmer. So I design an amusing soft to manage ASCII art. this soft has a great collection of ASCII art from various artists. You can convert picture or text into beautiful ASCII art easily. My homepage is http://www.softcows.com, the download url is http://www.softcows.com/imagechat.exe. I hope you will like this soft just as I like it:) Thanks.
Quote from the site: "Any unregistered user can use the software for 30 days. Registration only costs $9.95. Registered ImageChat users can obtain FREE technical support and upgrade to future versions for FREE!" So, he/ she is charging 10 bucks for this program. How much of that is he/ she paying the ascii artists? Is he/ she at least keeping artist initials on the ascii art? I think. Correct. Thank you very much for your notice. I fill very sorry for the artists. I am not intentional. I am not familiar with the law. Does I still encroach the copyright if I change this soft to freeware or I ask the artists for permission? If yes, I will re-design the program and remove all ascii art from ImageChat, I will update the new program in my site within one week.

Thing is, you can't sue for compensatory damages, but you can sue him to get him to stop using the images. In order to sue for compensatory damages you have to actually register the copyright, which is quite expensive. - Froggy

That makes you eligible for statutory damages and legal fees if the litigation is successful so you'll end up with more money. -- | _ .\ ~~ _ ^~ | <')_,/ , ; .\ >(')__, . ` ' , | (_~=/ \._`.'. .\ (_~_/ _, _..-''-._,____,----,____ | ='- \=~_) ; .\ ~^~~^~ ` (_~_/ `'--'` `~~~~)_)=\_\-.( | -'= .\ ~^~ ~^~~^~ ICQ:11367619 EMAIL:bateau:-)jupiter-io.net WEB:http://tyrian2000.cjb.net
I uninstalled it tonight. I can't be sure yet but it seems to have
been making my computer have errors and crash several times. I didn't
see how it could be the culprit until I realized it was running
constantly, without me starting it up. Does anyone know what dbhelp
and gdi.exe errors would be from? Thats what I kept getting the past
couple of days. If they disappear now I'll know it was this program at
fault. If they don't disappear I'm back to the drawing board to figure
out what the problem is. :(

I delete all the ascii art from the ascii art database in my soft and update the soft to my site again. It seems that I will use this soft maybe only myself:(

This firewall will stop it. Greetz, Beetle/Kevertje.
I delete all the ascii art from the ascii art database in my soft and update the soft to my site again. It seems that I will use this soft maybe only myself:( BTW, My program is not a trojan.
