San Francisco Theological Seminary in Cal.

The following story is what I had suffered in Presbyterian
Seminary (San Francicsco Theological Seminary) in San Anselmo,
California. ( tel : 415-258-6500, fax : 415-258-1608 ) Dean : White.
I am sharing with you in the hope that no other man will be
victimized again for the shortage of the knowledge.
In this entire process, I have striven to maintain justice of
what I regard as true faith.
From the beginning of my Exploration in Ministry (EIM) group
at the Seminary, I became concerned about a classmate who was
gradually dying, I thought as a result of practicing habitual
homo sex. (That is, he was afflicted with the virus that
frequently leads to AIDS, which is not, I understand, per se a
consequence of homosexual behavior.)
I tried in many different ways to convert him, in the hope
that this might lessen his vulnerability to AIDS. I prayed for him
and tried to come to his house to offer a prayer for him there.
I regarded this as a sincere concern for a fellow classmate.
The interim Dean (Davis) however ridiculed my effort, even
accusing me of trying to be a street preacher out to insult gays.
Once, after our EIM group was threatened by this
classmate's roommate drawing a knife, the EIM group leader invited
me to comment on the gay issues. I replied that true joy comes from
physical pleasure received in accordance with spiritual joy; after
all, we are intellectual humans.
My gay classmate (Echert) appreciated the truth I was
attempting to express. However, it was not easy for him, like
most other gays, to give up his habitual homo sex, as I believed
he should have. Instead he moved into Seminary housing, rooming
with another Seminary gay, and support this move.
Our next EIM group leader came with a background in a church
with a majority of gays. He was liberal and so encouraged a
supportive ministry to gays, smiling oddly on anyone who opposed
this idea of Christian support for gays. I received his evaluation
at the end of the semester that "He is far from the immigration
ministry in the country of DOMINANT ANGLO CULTURE."
( A grisly humiliation to me who is an Asian American Christian. )
And my security was also being threatened by another gay
student who has legal secretary background.
I also had to defend Christianity when gay students
questioned my motives and suggested that "there is no evidence
that Jesus was not a gay."
Now I am a quiet person. But in the face of such statements and
events, I may have given the impression that I hate gays and am
out to terrify the people related to them. This may have been the
impression especially of people with what I regard as lax judgment.
One of those who kept this impression was Klav in the
library. He let gay students to display a list of gay-favoring
churches in the library, to which I may have shown my disagreement.
I also questioned what was in the mind of the Dean who also allowed
such a dangerous slogan for many days in the center of future priests.
Dr. SangKoo Lee said that AIDS virus is not a strong virus
since it keeps such a long period of potential time before it
becomes real disease. There have been a few cases that the patients
got well from AIDS 100% after they stopped homo sex, drugs, and
alcohol. He also added that recent medical research shows that
homo sex paralyzes human immune system.
Klav became very reluctant to serve me in the library, and
sometimes even hostile toward me, believing that I was out to
terrify gays. For instance, once when I inquired about borrowing
Lambdin's Hebrew grammar, he replied with an odd smile on his face,
"Someone else has taken it - you are not the only one at school."
Then his attempt to watch my every step after a bunch of
books went missing from the library began to bother me so much
that I could hardly stand to be in the library any longer.
I endured his unfair and hostile service many times, with
Christian patience, believing that time would resolve his prejudice
toward me.
But last September he provoked me once again, boldly,
by intentionally, delaying to serve me for several minutes, while
he talked on the phone. He simply ordered me to "squeeze the
doll" (to call other library staff), sending me his hostile look,
while I waited and waited for him to get off the phone, as the
class I was attending had already started.
I became quite upset when he told me "Do not come behind
the desk," even when I just continued to wait patiently outside.
He simply told me "squeeze the doll" (to call other library staff),
sending me his hostile look, while I waited and waited for him to
get off the phone, as the class I was attending had already started.
I finally decided that I was once again being made a fool
of by him, and went behind the desk and took hold of him. This
caused him to blurt out, "This God-damned ()an is attacking me."
(he being a buddhist.) After I released him, he set about
attacking me and left his fingernail on me.
I was willing to take full responsibility of this incident
since it was my fault losing my temper. I accepted one month
suspension. Klav is a strange buddhist having many knife scars
on his body.
During my suspension, this incident was being talked about
around the Seminary, in exaggerated form, and on the assumption
that I alone was totally to blame. At the same time, one student
heard from Klav that the gay group, Dean, the feminist students
were the ones making the incident bigger and bigger.
At the end of the month of suspension, Klav reported to his
superior that I had shown up on the campus, which the case.
Pete, the librarian came down to the classroom and yelled at me to
leave the school because the suspension made a dismissal.
His wife, manager of bookstore, added her witness that I had
come to the school, breaking the suspension five days before it
was due to expire when I came there to see school psychiatrist
at school required by the Dean.
I was mystified as to what really was on such concern to
Klav and two Petes. The Dean gave me another suspension of
another three months until the end of the semester despite that the
maximum period of seminary suspension should not run over one month.
(I had to keep quiet since school is ruled by very prejudiced kind
of people, and I did not think of a lawsuit because it is a shame
of christian ethics.)
After two times of consecutive suspension (including one
illegal suspension) Dean gave me another third one for six month
period until the beginning date of next school year. I left a
phone message to registrar's office that I would remove my name
rather than accepting that kind of bad and mean illegal policy.
(They counted it as my self-withdrawal and stopped my student
status at that moment.)
I applied for new admission last year (years after painful
process of this incident.) New Dean (White) said that my position
is as free as all other new applicants.
However, admission director blocked my application again
very shamelessy and unfairly.
I am looking for a good experienced lawyer.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
