ASCII Animation? How is it done?

Hey all,

   I am so interested in this. What do you need to do Asciimation? I really
want to try my hand at it! Is there a special program for it? Where can I get
it?

What type of ascii animation you want to do?

There are several types.

There are the ones where were you view them in a text
editor and use the page up andpage down buttons to flip
the pages and there are Javascript animations that
will show an animation on a web page and there the
experimental Dhtml types that let the text move around
the screen in layers and othr things....

give us an example of something you have seen and
want to do,and we can help you much better.

ASCII animation is just like other animation - a series of ordinary
pictures. THEN, when you've made those, you can start worrying about
getting them to move. There are different techniques. Right now the most
popular ones are those that work on the web. There is Javascript:
