IS this possible?

Becuase I've seen alot of .nfo's that are ASCII and look like ANSI without
the colur

     That's done with something like TheDraw, converting a color ANSI to B&W
ANSI ( load a color ANSI & save as ASCII), but it is still high ASCII
characters that aren't really considered "pure" ASCII on this newsgroup. That's
because the characters can't be seen on many types of newsreaders and
computers. The character sets are slightly different from country code to
country code.

Open the ansi in a text editor, and remove all <esc>[nr;nr;nr -codes.

Escs might look like little boxes, or, if you use "Edit" in dos, they
look like left arrows.
