chop off the hand that spams -- Paul. (Yes, the silly vote has been split!) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Words and pictures http://www.geocities.com/dreamst8me/

Some of us actually have spam filters that cut out the original post.
So, to me, you're the one that's spamming by reposting something I
never had to see in the first place. Chop off the hand that spams?
How about the hand that passes it on?

I'm being a hypocrite again! :( Damn double standards... Wellll... it *was* about 6 NGs, but I wasn't sure where the original author reads - or whether they were using an email address that they read. Bearing in mind that plenty of usenet users like to change their address, or have a box specifically for it that they delete most of the mail out of. I thought about it, but I'm not always one for appropriate strategies :P Rowe -- http://tom.staight.net

It was still a reply to a post I never would have known existed if you
hadn't replied to it :0) I understand it's very annoying to get spammy
messages, but all you can do is ignore them because there's no easy way
to vote off a spammer from Usenet. The least you can do is make sure the
least people as possible see/know the message, so the audience is
limited and the members of Usenet don't have as much OT spam to click
through.
(appologies for crossposting, but A.A.P.C was the only NG I saw "Paul
Heslop" post in, and A.A-A is the one of the (10??) groups I read)
And on that note...
