Hi folks!
  Can anybody pleasy tell me, whether there i sa converter from AVi Movies
into a sequence of Ascii Art Images? I'd like to convert some of my
DivX-Films.

it is a unix/linux/GNUsystem Ascii-Art engine
for real-time ascii-movie conversion and runtime tools

Mhmm, this thing looks damn interesting, maybe I could port it, or I will
improve my Linux skills (would be a good thing to do anyway)
