mplayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu) kann Videos ï¿œber die aalib oder caca
als ASCII ausgeben.  Es gibt auch eine Windows-Version.

Ob und wie man jetzt aus dem ASCII-Datenstrom wieder ein AVI machen
kann, weiￜ ich nicht, aber wie ich mplayer kenne, geht das bestimmt.
Wenn nicht mit dem Player, dann evtl. mit dem beiliegenden mencoder.

VLC kann das ebenso. Das nette Feature dieses Players ist, dass er die
caca-lib verwendet und somit auch fï¿œhig ist farbiges ascii auszugeben.
